The clinical Master of Social Work (MSW) program paves your path to handle all aspects of clinical practice for individuals, families, couples and groups while understanding policy and social services, community development, and administration.
When you attend the online MSW program at The Catholic University of America (CUA)’s National Catholic School of Social Service (NCSSS), you’ll be prepared to pass your Licensed Graduate Social Work exam, the first step toward clinical social work licensure.
Students from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds choose CUA for its dedication to excellence in social work, and to join a legacy of professionals who answer a higher calling to help others in service to their church, community, and world. At CUA you’ll connect with mentors who lead you on your personal path of success, bond with allies who support you in your educational journey, and learn alongside peers who hold similar values to yours at home and at work.
The clinical MSW curriculum prepares you to meet the challenges of a variety of professional roles and client issues. It aligns with a rigorous field practice experience that prepares you to excel in professional practice. Our Advanced Standing option is offered in consideration of your previous social work education and experience. If you qualify, you’ll focus solely on the advanced curriculum and shorten the length of time it takes to obtain your MSW degree.
